Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers

I am delighted to welcome you to Bedale Church of England Primary School – a large, happy and thriving school which serves the town of Bedale and surrounding areas.

At the heart of everything we do is our vision of Learning and Caring Together, underpinned by our core values of perseverance, compassion and friendship. Guided by Jesus’ teaching to love God and love our neighbour, we strive to create a community where everyone feels valued, included and supported. Our close links with St. Gregory’s Church and wider community are an important part of who we are, and our Christian values are woven throughout school life. We demonstrate compassion by caring for one another and recognising the needs of others; we build friendship through kindness, respect and positive relationships; and we show perseverance by trying our best, learning from our mistakes and embracing challenges. Together, these values help our pupils grow into confident, thoughtful and responsible young people who are ready to make a positive difference in the world.

Our dedicated staff spend a valuable amount of time getting to know our pupils and families, building strong relationships across the school community. We are determined to provide a deep and rich education, with high expectations for every child. We want all pupils to make good progress, achieve their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning. We recognise that every child is unique, and we are passionate about providing the care, guidance and support each individual needs to succeed. We are proud to offer an exciting range of learning experiences and enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom, encouraging our pupils to discover their talents and create lasting memories. We want every child to have the opportunity to shine.

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our school. I hope our website gives you a sense of the warmth, belonging and rich learning experiences that make our school so special.

We look forward to working with you.
